In Mortal Kombat, Ilia gives way to his fascination with the martial arts and the result is truly impressive. Wielding a forbidding-looking samurai sword with the ease and discipline of a pro, he executes a series of complex interlocking maneuvers with a riveting mixture of aggression and grace. Japanese fans say Ilia's form is perfect and his understanding of the centered soul at the heart of the martial arts is wonderfully evident. A masterful performance!
