A bittersweet tableau offered up by a broke heart. Ilia skates with abandon and a youthful
recklessness which fits the picture of blighted love quite credibly and is extremely
poingnant to watch. Always is Ilia's first interpretation of the painful human emotions
and it is the first moment we understand his masterly flair for this type of depiction.
His ability to convey angst through passionate, out-reaching body language is unequalled.
Our compassion swells with the throbbing music; our feelings are deeply stirred. Our
hearts go out to the young boy whose artistry speaks so convincingly of vulnerability, of
struggle and of loyalty.
